Workflows can be categorized, and their connection to other modules can be customized.

This feature enables more flexibility in tasks’ planning, using Work Orders module.

Work Orders can be either Production related, with a product outcome at the end, or they can be task related, like maintenance, planning or RMA.

In addition, the whole system is now even more suitable to production factories, which do not have, or do not want, to connect their ERP to Next Plus.

Next Plus can now independently manage parts and product trees for various production SKU’s

ℹ️ Three types are preconfigured in the system: However, additional types can be added

  • Production

  • Maintenance

  • RMA

Legacy Deployment - What Should I do?

First of all, there is no need to panic. the update has a minor effect on the operational ecosystem of your organization.

If your workflows are used for production

  1. Make sure that the proper flags are checked for the Production workflow type.

  2. Update your Parts module to be as adequate as possible.

If your workflows are used for maintenance

  1. Go to Workflow Types.

  2. Rename Production - to maintenance.

  3. Rename Maintenance to Production.

  4. Move Create Stock flag.

Workflow Type

📍 Main menu → Modeling → Workflows → Workflows Types

You can use workflow types to classify your workflows. This function enables you to assign the workflow for Production, Maintenance, RMA etc. In that way you can separate workflows that create stock from those that have different operational perspective.

By default Next Plus provides three different types of workflows, and you can add as many types of workflows as you like.

Workflow type configuration

Field

Description

Name

Name of the type.

Default

Which types are considered as default. Newly added workflows will be configured with all workflow types that are marked as “Default”.

Create Stock

Whether or not a part will be created in stock. After a successful completion of a Workflow, of this type, a single unit will be added to stock.

PLEASE Note - this will work only for Work Order sessions and not plain sessions.

PLEASE Note - only one type can have this flag checked.

Link to ERP

Set type to be associated with the ERP. When a new work order is created from the ERP, Next Plus assigns a workflow to that work order, based on a match between the P/Ns (ERP generated and Workflow configured).

From now on, Next Plus will search for that match only in types that have this flag on. PLEASE Note - only one type can have this flag checked.

ERP Service Call Default

Set type to be associated with the ERP Service Call modules (In Priority ERP). When a new Service Call work order is created from the ERP, Next Plus assigns a workflow to that work order, based on a match between the P/Ns (ERP generated and Workflow configured).

From now on, Next Plus will search for that match only in types that have this flag on. PLEASE Note - only one type can have this flag checked.

Local API Default

Set type to be associated with other API. When a new work order is created via a dedicated API Next Plus assigns a workflow to that work order, based on a match between the P/Ns (API generated and Workflow configured). From now on, Next Plus will search for that match only in types that have this flag on. Note that only when type may have this flag on. PLEASE Note - only one type can have this flag checked.

Add a new Workflow Type

  1. Go to workflow type menu

  2. Click the red plus button on the right top corner

  3. New table line will appear

  4. Give it a name

  5. Click save

Set Workflow to specific Type

  1. Select the workflow for classification and go to edit mode

  2. Click on Admin tab

  3. Click on Workflow Type

  4. Select the needed classification - publish the workflow if type was changed or updated
