Overview

Welcome to the Next Plus user permissions guide. Next Plus is a cloud-based, SaaS digital Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) platform designed for manufacturers and assembly lines. As a platform rich in features, from digital work instructions to BI tools, it is critical to understand the different user roles and permissions within the system. Our permission levels include:

  • Viewer

  • Operator

  • Editor

  • System Administrator

Each of these roles is tailored to fit the varied needs of manufacturers, R&D teams, quality control personnel, and other professionals who interact with the system. Below, you'll find a detailed description of each role.


Viewer

Description

Viewers in the Next Plus system can only view digital work instructions, data reports, and other read-only content. Perfect for those supervising assembly lines or quality control processes.

Capabilities

  • Access to read-only digital work instructions

  • Can view BI dashboards and reports

  • Cannot modify, add, or remove data or instructions

  • Cannot report procedures or fill forms

Organizational Roles

  • Quality Control Managers

  • Manufacturing managers

  • Department Leads

  • C-Level personnel

Use Cases

  • Review Quality control results and auditions

  • Review metrics / Progress / any other documented data that is generated and reported in Next Plus


Operator

Description

Next Plus operators represent the majority of users in the system. They are the ones that perform procedures, assemble, create, follow instructions, fill forms and more. Basically they report data into Next Plus.

Capabilities

  • Access Work orders

  • Create Sessions of preconfigured workflows (i.e digital work instructions, SOP’s etc.)

  • Sign steps

  • Fill preconfigured forms

  • No access to system configurations

Organizational Roles

  • Shop floor personnel / Machine operators / Subcontractor operational personnel

  • Technicians and Maintainers

  • Quality Control personnel

  • Team Leads

Use Cases

  • Assembly line workers who need to follow digital work instructions ( assembly instructions, SOP’s, etc.) and record their progress

  • Sub-contractors that need to report their progress

  • QC personnel that perform QC control audits


Editor

Description

Editors maintain the instructional content inside Next Plus. they create and edit the procedures, design forms, write documentation and other content, create BI dashboards on more. In general they are responsible for all the content, related to the organizational objectives of Next Plus implementation.

Capabilities

  • Create and edit digital work instructions / Work flows / Forms / etc

  • Collect data from workers, equipment, and enterprise systems

  • Assign roles / groups / work stations and other user related permission mechanisms.

  • Utilize BI tools for basic data analysis

  • Engineering teams

  • Technical writers

Use Cases

  • R&D professionals creating new SOPs

  • Quality control officers updating procedures

  • Data analysts create reports for managers


System Administrator

Description

System Administrators have full control over Next Plus, including its advanced features like ERP integration and AS9100 compliance settings.

Capabilities

  • Full access to all Next Plus features

  • Responsible for integration of Next Plus with other systems (i.e ERP , CRM, etc.)

  • Manage users, roles and permissions

  • Perform system backups

Organizational Roles

  • IS teams

  • IT teams

Use Cases

  • IT managers responsible for ERP integration

  • Compliance officers ensuring AS9100 standards

  • Business owners that require full system oversight


Admin

Description

Admins have full control over Next Plus settings and user management, including its advanced features like ERP integration and AS9100 compliance settings.

Capabilities

  • View everything

  • Manage settings

  • Manage users, roles and permissions

  • Perform system backups

Organizational Roles

  • IS teams

  • IT teams

Use Cases

  • IT managers responsible for ERP integration

  • Compliance officers ensuring AS9100 standards
