Welcome to the Next Plus Tools Module user guide. This resource will assist you in effectively managing your tools and equipment through the Next Plus platform.

Accessing the Tools Module

Log in to your Next Plus account and navigate to the “Tools” section from the main dashboard. This will take you to the primary interface for tool management.

Tools Overview Screen

The Tools Overview screen is your starting point for tracking and managing tools. It displays a list of all tools with essential details for easy reference.

Key Features:

  • Search Bar: Quickly find tools by name or description.

  • Serial Tracking: Easily identify tools that are serialized.

  • Edit/Delete: Use these actions to modify tool details or remove tools from the system.

Adding New Tools

Adding a new tool to the inventory:

  1. Click the red plus icon in the upper right corner to open the "Create Tool" screen.

  2. Enter the required details:

    • Name: The unique name for the tool.

    • Part Number (P/N): If available, enter the manufacturer's part number.

    • Description: Provide a brief but clear description of the tool.

  3. Use the ‘Is serial?’ switch to indicate whether the tool should be tracked by its serial number.

  4. Add a photo of the tool by clicking the ‘Attachment’ button, if needed for visual identification.

  5. Set the tool's active status using the provided toggle.

  6. Click “Save” to add the tool to your inventory.

Managing Tools

Editing Tool Information:

  1. Find the tool in the Tools Overview screen.

  2. Click the corresponding edit action button.

  3. Update the information in the editable fields.

  4. Click “Save” to apply changes.

Deleting a Tool:

  1. Identify the tool to be removed on the Tools Overview screen.

  2. Click the Edit action button.

  3. Confirm the deletion to remove the tool from the system.

Best Practices

  • Consistent Updates: Keep tool information current to maintain operational accuracy.

  • Status Checks: Regularly review the active status and any associated expiration dates.

  • Visual References: Utilize the attachment feature to add photos of the tools for quick visual identification.
