⏱️ Logging Time with the Timer Tool

Overview

Whether you're assembling a product or doing quality control, tracking your time helps maintain accuracy and accountability. Next Plus includes a built-in Timer Tool so you can log work durations manually or in real-time.

When to Use It

  • When you begin or complete a task and want to record the time

  • To track breaks, inspections, or assembly times

  • When you need to submit time logs for manager review


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Timer Tool

  • Click the Timer icon (⏱️) in the top-right corner of the screen

  • This opens the Time Logging Report

2. Fill in Task Details

In the logging report modal:

  • Type: Select the type of activity (e.g., Normal Process, Break)

  • Work Order Number: Choose from the dropdown

  • Serials & Chapter: Fill in the relevant serial number and chapter (if required)

3. Track Time

You have two options:

  • Real-Time Logging

    • Press the blue Play button to start

    • Press the Stop button when finished

  • Manual Entry

    • Click on the Start and End fields

    • Select or type the desired times

4. Submit Your Entry

  • Click the blue Approve button to save your time log


Tips & Shortcuts

  • Use real-time mode when you're at your station and ready to work

  • Use manual mode when logging time after-the-fact

  • Manager approval is only needed for certain workflows — check your task type
