What are Workflow Types?

Workflow Types define the structure and purpose of each workflow in your system. They help control how stock, ERP integrations, and API defaults behave for each type of process.


๐Ÿงญ How to Access the Workflow Types Screen

  1. Go to Modeling in the left-hand menu.

  2. Expand the Workflows dropdown.

  3. Click on Workflow Types.


๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ What Youโ€™ll See on the Screen

Each row in the table represents a Workflow Type. Columns include:

  • Name โ€“ Custom name for the workflow type.

  • Default โ€“ Whether this type is used by default when creating new workflows.

  • Create Stock โ€“ If stock should be created.

  • ERP Work Order โ€“ Indicates ERP Work Order linkage.

  • ERP Service Call โ€“ Indicates ERP Service Call linkage.

  • Local API Default โ€“ Marks this type as default for API calls.

โœ๏ธ How to Edit an Existing Workflow Type

To change the name:

  • Click directly into the Name cell and start typing.

To change options:

  • Use the toggle buttons (true/false) under each column.

  • Click the appropriate radio button to enable or disable a feature.


โญ Setting a Default Workflow Type

To make a workflow the default:

  1. Find the row you want.

  2. Under the Default column, select the is true radio button.

โ„น๏ธ More then one Workflow Type can be the default at a time.


๐Ÿ”„ ERP Integration Behavior

When a workflow is linked to ERP Work Order or ERP Service Call, any new work orders created by your ERP system will automatically use this type.

๐Ÿ’ก If "ERP Work Order" is selected, all new Work Orders from the ERP will use this workflow type.


โœ… Donโ€™t forget: Save changes!

When you're done editing, click SAVE in the top-right corner.
