This guide will walk you through the steps to access your open work orders and create a new one from scratch.
📍 Navigating to Open Work Orders
From the main menu on the left, click Work Orders to expand the section.
Select Open Work Orders.
You’ll now see the full list of active work orders.
To create a new one, look for the red plus (+) button in the upper right corner.
➕ Creating a New Work Order
Click the plus (+) button.
You’ll get two options:
Create new work order from template
Create new work order from scratch
Let’s focus on the manual process.
📝 Filling in the "New Work Order" Form
Here’s what each section means and how to use it:
1. Work Order Number
Auto-generated by default.
Want to use your own? Uncheck the box and enter your custom number.
2. Work Order Name
Add a short, clear title (e.g., Assembly for Engine Batch 204).
3. Work Order Type
Choose from the dropdown (e.g., Production, Maintenance, RMA, Demo).
4. Associated Product
Select the relevant product (e.g., Airplane, Hp Indigo 6K).
5. Associated Workflow
Choose a workflow that matches the product and process (e.g., Airplane Assembly).
6. Generate Serials
Check this box if you want serial numbers to be auto-created.
7. Quantity
Enter how many units this work order covers.
8. Assignees
Assign to one or more team members responsible for this task.
9. Expected Date (in Hours)
How many hours until this work should be completed.
10. Groups (optional)
If you work with work order groups, select the relevant one here.
11. Notifications (optional)
Choose between SMS, WhatsApp, or Email.
Once you choose a method, you can customize the message using Merged Tags like work order number, product name, and direct links.
✅ Final Step: Save and Launch
Click Next to review a summary.
Approve the product tree and suggested sub-orders (if applicable).
Hit Save.
🎉 That’s it! You’ll be redirected to the new work order screen, and your new order will appear in:
Open Work Orders
My Work Orders for assignees
