The Session screen is the main workspace for operators. It’s where they follow step-by-step instructions, input production data, attach serial numbers, and complete forms — all in one place.

This guide walks you through each part of the screen and how to use it during production.

🧭 Screen Overview

The Session screen is divided into three main panels and a top info bar.

📘 Top Bar – Work Order Summary

This area displays key session details:

  • WO #: Work Order number

  • P/N: Part Number (clickable – opens part documentation)

  • S/N: Serial Number of the product being built

  • Overall Quantity: Total quantity in the work order

💡 Click the WO # to go to the full work order screen.
📎 Click the P/N to open the part documentation.

📂 Left Panel – Step Navigator

This is where you view the structure of the operation:

  • Steps are grouped into chapters

  • Completed steps show a ✅

  • Use the icons to expand or collapse chapters

This helps operators keep track of where they are in the process.

📋 Center Panel – Work Instructions & Data Input

This is the main working area where operators:

  • Read step-by-step instructions

  • Fill out required Data Input fields (checkboxes, values, etc.)

  • Review Tools needed for the step

  • Access supporting documents

⚠️ Data fields must be filled out according to the instructions before the step is marked as complete.

🖼 Right Panel – Visual & Media Section

Here’s where the operator sees visuals for guidance:

  • Step illustrations and images

  • Diagrams or sketches

  • Instructional videos

  • PDFs or attached documents

This section supports clarity and helps prevent mistakes.

🔒 The “Next” Button – Signing the Step

Pressing Next in the bottom right corner does more than move forward — it acts as a digital signature.

When you press Next, you're confirming that:

  • The task has been completed correctly

  • All instructions were followed

  • All data was entered properly

💬 Need to undo?
Go back to the step and press Back to remove your signature and make updates.

🎛 Top-Right Menu (Quick Actions)

This menu includes three important tools for operators:

1. S/N – Serial Reporting

Tap the S/N button to open the Serial Reporting screen.
Here you’ll attach serial or lot numbers to the parts used in this session.

You can:

  • Enter or scan a serial/lot number

  • Use the delete (X) icon to remove an entry

  • Tap the double-square icon to split lots and enter multiple values

  • Use a barcode scanner to input values quickly

🟡 Reminder: Enter the product’s Serial Number first before attaching component parts.

All actions are saved and logged in the session report.

2. 🗂️ Forms Button (Middle Icon)

Press this icon to open the list of all forms attached to the workflow.

From here:

  • Select the form you want to complete (e.g., inspection, measurements, QA)

  • Fill it out according to instructions

  • If the form is status-managed, you’ll see a badge icon appear:

    • Next to the form button in the menu

    • Next to the relevant step in the workflow

🧾 All form activity is automatically recorded in the Session Report.

3. ⋮ Three-Dot Menu – Advanced Tools

  • BOM (5): View the full Bill of Materials

  • Workflow Change Logs: See who updated the workflow and when

  • Session Report: View a detailed summary of the session

  • Time Logging: Check how long each step took

  • Split Session: Divide the session (e.g., to assign sub-work)

  • Report Invalid: Flag sessions that shouldn’t proceed (e.g., setup mistakes)

✅ Summary

The Session screen brings everything together so operators can focus on doing their job — the right way, every time.

  • Use the left panel to track your steps

  • Follow the instructions and complete required inputs in the center

  • Use visuals and forms from the right panel

  • Click Next only when you’re ready to report that the step is fully done

  • Use the top-right menu for reporting serials, filling forms, and accessing tools
