Need to add a new part to your system? No worries—we’ve got you covered! This quick and easy guide will walk you through the entire process, step by step. Let’s jump in! 🚀

🔍 Step 1: Open the Parts Module

  1. On the left-hand menu, click on “Modeling.”

  2. Expand the “Parts” section.

  3. Click on “Parts” to open the main parts screen.

➕ Step 2: Create a New Part

  1. In the Parts screen, click the "+" (Add) button at the top right.

  2. This will open the "New Part" screen where you can start entering all the details.

📝 Step 3: Fill Out the Part Details

In the Details section, you’ll see a list of options. Here’s a quick rundown of what each one means:

  • Part Name – Give your part a clear, official name.

  • Part Number – This is the unique ID for your part—make sure it fits your internal system.

  • Unit of Measurement – Choose how you measure this part (e.g., meters, pieces, kg).

  • Bulk Production – Check this if the part is produced in bulk.

  • Automatic Creation – Let the system auto-create this part when needed.

  • Managed by Revision – Enable if revisions are tracked.

  • Managed by Serial Number – Use if each part has a unique serial number.

  • Require Serial Number for Start Production – Turn this on if production can’t begin without a serial number.

  • Free Stock – Check if the part is considered free stock.

  • Part Has Expiration Date – Useful for items with a shelf life.

  • Phantom Part – Select if this part is only used in BOMs and isn’t stocked physically.

  • Enable Time Tracking – Track how much time is spent on this part in production.

  • Combined – Use if this part can be combined with others.

Take your time here—these settings help make sure everything flows smoothly later on. 👍
