The Tools page in Next Plus is your central hub for managing all the equipment used in your production process. It provides a way to view each tool, understand its serial tracking status, keep track of its part number, and add new tools. You can also edit or delete existing tools from this section. This ensures you maintain a clear and up-to-date inventory of all the essential items for your manufacturing operations.

When to Use It:

  • To review the list of available tools.

  • When you need to look up the part number or serial tracking status of a tool.

  • To confirm which tools are currently in use or active.

  • When setting up new work orders, you may need to verify that the correct tool is in the system.

  • To quickly view the tool's description and part number.

  • When you need to create a new tool

  • When you need to edit or delete a tool.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Access the Tools Page: From the main navigation menu on the left side of the screen, click on "Tools".

  2. View the Tool List: You'll see a table displaying all tools.

  3. Understand the Columns: Each tool entry includes:

    • Name: The name of the tool, typically displayed in Hebrew.

    • Description: A text field to provide further information about the tool.

    • P/N: The part number for the tool.

    • Is serial?: Indicates whether the tool is tracked by serial number ("true") or not ("false").

    • Actions: Includes icons for viewing, editing, or deleting a tool.

  4. Create a New Tool:

    • Click the plus (+) icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

    • This will open the "Create Tool" screen.

    • Fill in the required fields: Name, P/N, and Description.

    • If the tool is tracked by serial numbers, turn on the “Is Serial?” toggle.

      • A "Serials" section will appear, click the plus (+) icon to add serial number information such as the serial number, groups the tool belongs to, an expiration date, and an activation toggle.

      • You can attach files to a specific serial entry.

      • Once the serial information is added, click 'x' to close the entry.

    • Click "Save" to save the new tool.

  5. View Tool Details:

    • To view detailed information for a tool, including serial numbers and attachments, click the eye icon in the “Actions” column.

  6. Edit a Tool:

    • Click the eye icon in the “Actions” column next to the tool you want to edit.

    • This will open the “Edit Tool” screen.

    • From here you can change the tool’s name, part number, description, and serial tracking status.

    • Click the "Save" button to save the changes.

  7. Delete a Tool:

    • Click the eye icon in the “Actions” column next to the tool you want to delete.

    • This will open the “Edit Tool” screen.

    • Click the "Delete" button to delete the tool.

    • Note that this action cannot be undone.
