Workflows in Next Plus are designed to guide you through predefined processes. This article will explain how to start a workflow from the dashboard, understand the session screen you are directed to after starting, and how to complete all the steps.

When to Use It: Use this feature when you need to initiate and execute tasks according to standard operating procedures, such as performing a shift-end procedure or assembling a specific product.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Start the Workflow:

    • Go to the "My Home" page of the Next Plus platform.

    • Locate the "Workflows" section on the right-hand side of the screen.

    • Find the specific workflow you need to start (e.g., "Aircraft Assembly").

    • Click the play button (a small green arrow) next to the desired workflow.

  2. Understand the Session Screen:

    • You will then be redirected to the session screen for this workflow.

    • The first thing you'll see is a change log describing the changes to this workflow version.

    • This change log is for informational purposes. Close this to begin work.

  3. Navigate Workflow Steps:

    • Administrative Information: At the top of the screen, you'll see administrative details about the workflow you're executing including the name, part number, and serial number.

    • Step List (Left Side): The left sidebar lists all the steps or "chapters" of the workflow. They are organized sequentially, and each step indicates its progress through the use of a fraction (e.g. 0/4).

    • Expanding Chapters: You can expand or collapse each chapter using the collapse all icon or the individual icons next to each section. When expanded, each step within the chapter becomes visible.

    • Step Details: After expanding a section, you'll see a more detailed description of the actions necessary to complete the step. You might also have to interact with the media (e.g. video) or text area below the steps.

    • Required Input: Certain steps will have input fields in which users must place their data. When prompted, input the necessary value in the corresponding field.

  4. Complete a Step:

    • Performing the task: Follow the provided instructions in each step, including viewing associated media and text data.

    • Signing the Step: Once the step is complete, press the “Next” button to sign off on it.

    • Verifying Completion: After signing, the current step moves to the next, and the prior step will have a green checkmark added next to it, indicating completion.

  • Viewing who signed a step: Hover over the green check mark of a signed step to see who signed the step and what date/time the action was performed.

  1. Finish the Workflow:

    • Progress through all the steps, making sure to sign each one.

    • Make sure to input all required data.

    • Once all steps are complete, the workflow will be finished.
